ELRA Summer Rowing Programs
REGISTRATION FORMS
The East Lyme Rowing Association offers two six-week summer programs: a “Learn to Row” course for middle school students and a skills development course for high school rowers.
In the Learn to Row program, students are introduced to the basics of crew including rowing technique, maneuvering on the water, handling and transporting boats, and boathouse routine. No previous experience is required!
The high school skill development program is open to high schoolers wishing to build on rowing skills they have developed in previous programs. This program includes drills to improve rowing technique and skills.
The High School Experienced program runs from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and the Middle School Learn To Row program runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. - Monday through Friday, for six weeks in June and July. Participants can choose to attend some or all sessions.
Participants must pay a fee of $125 ($130 online) per week to ELRA. If a student takes part in four weeks of training, the fifth OR sixth week is free.
ELRA provides relief to rowers and families who have trouble affording a program’s fee. For more information, contact Scott Mahon at 860-949-5422 or scott.mahon@elpsk12.org.
