2022 FALL REGATTA INFORMATION

Saturday September 17

The CRI Fall Classic, in its 12th year (and our 6th return), is growing exponentially! While it may not be the HOCR, it is a great venue with great rowing on the Charles River. The venue is Community Rowing Inc. in Brighton, Ma – click for website information.

Saturday September 24

The Guardian Chase – Friends of Glastonbury crew put on a fun day of racing at their acclaimed Glastonbury Boathouse on the Connecticut River. Attending schools have included Farmington, Avon, Stonington and Guilford.

Sunday October 2

The Head of the Riverfront – Last year there were 70 Clubs and Schools with 640 entries! An amazing and sprawling venue from hundreds of boats and trailers, to the boathouse, to the grandstand finish line. A great day to bring the whole family to see classic fall racing. Riverfront Boathouse

Sunday October 9

13th Annual New England Junior & Master Championship Regatta – Originally designed to give Junior and High School rowers a regional fall championship, Regatta Point Community Sailing and Rowing decided to open up to masters rowing as well. All Junior rowing occurs on Sunday 10/9. This is the same venue that we visit 3 times in the spring season (Simsbury/Tabor Invite, Quinsigamond Cup, NEIRA Championships) – but the race course covers the length of the lake! Most of our CPSRA friends attend as well, so it is a great litmus test. Lake Quinsigamond

October 22-23 (Racing on the 23rd)

The Head of the Charles – This is the largest two day regatta in the world. Hundreds of thousands of spectators, rowers and coaches descend on Boston for some of the best racing you will ever see. It is truly a memory maker if you can get in. We have applied for two Junior 8s (B&G). Rowers will have to compete to make the “Charles” boats. This requires an overnight stay in Boston. Check out the HOCR website for all the information you need.

October 29-30 (Racing on the 30th)

This will be the 2nd year that we attend The Head of the Fish in Saratoga, NY! A regatta that seems to be perennially wet, we still had great fun and look forward to this year. Racing starts early, so we need to overnight. Make your hotel reservations soon as they fill up fast! Click here for hotel information.
