East Lyme Rowing Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1979 to support and promote rowing in our town. ELRA works with our local high school crew team to raise funds for the purchase and maintenance of boats, training equipment, and regatta race fees.
The East Lyme Rowing Association offers rowing programs in the fall, winter, summer, and spring.
ELRA offers a six-week summer program for beginners and skilled rowers:
A “Learn to Row” course for middle school students and a skills development course for high school rowers.
A High School small boat skills rowing program - High School students can hone their rowing skills by rowing in 4s, doubles and pairs. We may schedule a race...
The winter program that start with a four to six week boot camp after the fall season to help rowers stay in shape and build their skills in the off-season. After holiday break, rowers should be in the weight room building muscle mass. Check with coaches about Winter Workout times. They will also be posted on the website.
