The East Lyme Rowing Association is a non-profit group formed to promote the sport of rowing, also known as Crew. The association works with the East Lyme High School crew team to raise money used for the purchase and maintenance of rowing equipment. The ELRA also supports the athletes at regattas by organizing food, shelter and cheering for the rowers.
The association meets every month during the school year, typically on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. When the first Thursday falls during a vacation, the ELRA sets another date. Meeting place is the commons area in the High School. All crew parents and guardians are encouraged to come to as many meetings as possible. The meetings usually last between one and two hours, depending on the amount of business at hand.
